Satisfied yacht owners, researchers and cruise ship operators can be found in every corner of the globe.
At Sub Center Curaçao a large portion of submersible training centers on emergency procedures. This is why our school standards require instructors to be well-trained. We only recruit experienced, confident, focused and alert instructors. So, you can appreciate the skill required to respond immediately to any situation in which the risk outweighs the learning opportunity. Beyond our instructors’ seniority level, our Chief Pilot Instructor (CPI) actively supervises all dive training operations and consistently checks training records and documentation. This ensures Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) compliance and students can always feel safe while diving!
Not only does U-Boat Worx deliver world leading instructors, our pilot instructors are among the ones with a combined dive experience of over 50 years.
The controls of our submersible are designed for ease of management with the standard UIS (U-Boat Worx Information System). The UIS displays all pertinent information to the pilot via a large touchscreen monitor. An acknowledged feature of the U-Boat Worx submarines is the MANTA Controller that allows the passengers to navigate the craft under pilot supervision.
The precise and responsive manoeuvrability of the submarine never ceases to thrill the first-time diver, as the craft glides through the ocean’s three-dimensional environment taking in the shipwrecks, coral reefs and other spectacular underwater sights.
We have maintained a Zero Accident Safety Record, we have trained hundreds of thousands of hours and are proud to have 100% safety record, with no accidents or incidents ever.

When Bert Houtman founded U-Boat Worx in 2005, he created a movement that enabled many people to be introduced to ocean exploration, following in the footsteps of the iconic diving greats who preceded him. Submarines used to be perilous, costly, and inaccessible to the private sector. Focused on his pursuit to find a suitable submarine but unable to, he decided to build his own. In our first decade of existence, we have grown to become the largest private submarine manufacturer globally. With an expanding, robust business, we are committed to our quest to make subsea exploration more accessible to a wider audience than ever before. The future awaits, with state of the art submersibles and effortless underwater exploration.
